Wei Liang and his wife Amlisa are the team behind Amplified Cactus, a Singaporean online plant shop specialising in cacti. Born during the COVID-19 lockdown, this prickly project continues to offer cacti of various shapes, sizes, colours, and textures, potted in a specially formulated soil mix. Alexandra Denise Alcazar is a Filipino artist who draws inspiration from the hustle and bustle of Manila City, her hometown, to create experiences conducive to critical discourse and positive change in the community at large. Her undergraduate thesis, ‘Mine! Grab! Steal: The Contextualization of the Gentrification of Ukay-Ukay’, looked into the overconsumption of fashion in the context of Philippine thrift shops (or ukay-ukay). Andra was awarded as an outstanding student volunteer and recently completed an internship at Art Agenda S.E.A.

Andy Zua is also Protozua, a Thai multidisciplinary artist who is part of the hip hop group Rap Against Dictatorship. Along with his co-members, Andy makes anti-monarchy, anti-dictatorship, pro-democracy music that has won the 2019 Václav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent, gained millions of views on YouTube, and been performed at protests. Andy is also part of the art collective Moving Weird-nest. On some days, you can find him leading his book club’s current read at Arai Arai Cafe.

Ritika Biswas is a Bengali art curator and researcher who has worked at New Art Exchange Gallery (2019-2021) and Museum Without Walls (2021). In 2021, she became the first foreign and female Artistic Director of the Sea Art Festival for the Busan Biennale. Ritika holds a Liberal Arts degree from Yale-NUS College and a Master of Philosophy in Film and Screen Studies from the University of Cambridge, and is this year’s curator-in-residence at Fondation Fiminco, Paris.
